I have maintenance mode activated and it used to work but now it is showing my full site. I have tried deactivating and reactivating maintenance mode multiple times but no luck. I also cleared my browser and tried on multiple devices in incognito and was able to see the site.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @jormd,

As far as I see, you’re using the “Endurance Page Cache” plugin. So make sure you really cleared the page cache.

I didn’t realize I had that plugin because it was installed by my host but I replaced the endurance page cache file with a blank one and maintanence mode still does not appear to be working.

    Hello @jormd,

Replacing the file may not be enough. My recommendation is to contact your hosting provider support and ask them why the page cache is still enabled.

Why am I sure it is a cache issue? Because if you visit a page that wasn’t cached before, the maintenance mode appears. Here’s a screenshot from the portfolio page:

Should have tried this first but after updating the plugin and WordPress, maintenance mode is working again.

    Thank you for your help

    Hello,

I am glad it works now. I suppose the updates changed something because the cache plugin doesn’t seem to be activated anymore.

Hi there, wondering if I may have some assistance as well. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, as well as cleared cache and tried viewing from an incognito window but it looks like my entire site is still visible. When you click on the posts though, that’s when you see the maintenance page but I would like the maintenance page to be visible as soon as you click on the link. Is there anywhere to fix this please?

@deidraa we will continue the discussion here.
