Maintenance Mode 503 Error Code Cuts Off Script On Nginx Server

  • On my Nginx server, Nginx spits out 503 error correctly, showing the maintenance mode, along with the custom text and CSS style. However, the countdown doesn’t work for some reason. Anyway, this plugin seems to work, irrespective of the web server!

    Frank reached me at github and you (and he) are right.

    What happened is that I had programmed a custom 503 error_page in my nginx conf and it was conflicting.

    I removed the custom error_page 503 and “voila” it works!
