Maintaining & Supporting WP as a CMS

My company is in the process of developing a new front-end and wants to use WordPress solely as a CMS. The developers will feed off the WP database to create their webpages as they see fit.
I will be tasked with supporting the WP environment. Is there any content, books, courses or otherwise, that I can use to learn how to support WP in this way. I can already code webpages so supporting users in that case will not be a problem. I will mainly be looking after the database, user access, version control and publishing.
