Main Title and Subheading Not Displaying

I’m using the Kahuna theme and I’m having issues with my main site title and tagline not showing up on my homepage. These are populated in Customize > Site Identity under “Site Title” and “Tagline” and were showing at one point but now they’re gone. The site title is showing as both an h1 tag and h2 tag and the tagline is showing as an h2 tag but they are all hidden text, which I don’t want.

I was having issues with them showing before in the middle of the main image so I tried some changes to the CSS code, which ultimately removed them so I changed it back but I might have changed something else that I can’t find now cause now they still aren’t showing at all.

Can someone help me guide me to:
1. Make the title and tagline show again.
2. Where to change the style so they show at the top of the banner image instead of in the middle.
3. How to remove the redundant h2 tag of the title that’s already in the h1 tag.
