Main site working but other blogs down – 500 Internal Server Error

  • After a long hiatus from my blogs, I’ve decided to return to them.
    Back in May 2013, the site still worked. I have multiple blogs running in different subdomains. Now I can only access the main site and admin panel, and I get the following error when trying to view the blog or access the admin pannel for them:

    Forbidden

    You don’t have permission to access / on this server.

    Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    I’ve been reading about various issues about 500 Internal Server Error threads, and I’m not sure which issue applies to me. What is the first step in diagnosing the issue, before I start messing with things under the hood?
