I am not sure if this is due to the 4.1 upgrade, but I am getting 500 errors on my main multisite website. However, if I go to one of the child websites, the pages load up with no problem. If I go to {mainwebsite}/wp-admin I can get into the backend without issue.

I am running a couple programs to see if a plugin is causing the problem, but I have the same plugins across the board. All the websites are also using the same theme.

    Thoughts?

A WP error 500 usually means .htaccess is broken.

Can you check your server’s PHP logs?

I re-did the .htaccess and still have the same problem. GoDaddy allows me error logs which I get a bunch of lines similar to this:

    mod_fcgid: can’t apply process slot for /web/cgi-bin/php-fcgi

After some time working on it, I found a plugin was to blame. What was interesting was it took time for the plugin to work up. I am guessing it kept going in the background. Once I disabled all my plugins, the site came back up.

Today I get to go one-by-one to see what happens. I have 60 plugins to go through.
