Main shop page and editing

    If I set my shop main page to a certain page I have customized, say “my_shop”, then the customization possibilities of this shop page are strongly reduced: I can’t add a password protecting the page, a title, remove the title bar etc.

    Then, I try to “fool” woocommerce by specifying as “main page” another fake page.
    Then I try to put “my_shop” as permalink in the permalink setting page. But then, the “cart empty” link seems not to care that, and “Back to shop” does not lead to “my_shop” but to the “main page” that I have defined.

    How can I solve that?

    Let’s take a step back – what would you like to achieve here? Is your goal to have a custom shop page?

    Thank you for your answer. I would like to have some customization, main things would be
    1) Password protect the page
    2) Remove some menu line that is present by default and that I can usually edit away in the “Page Editor”
    3) Put a title bar with background etc.

    All that is not editable when the shop page is set as “main shop page” in the woocommerce options.
    The only solution I found to date is to put “no page” as a “main shop page” in the woocommerce options. But then I have some permalinks problems, like the “empty cart” back to shop permalink not perfectly working.
