main page to adjust theme

  • Where is the main page to make changes for my theme

    I am beginner with wordpress. In Joomla the main page is index.php.
    Here I don’t find HTML tags in index.php
    I tried to adjust header.php – I want to add java scripts to not select text and not copy – it didn’t appear these scripts

    How I can do it ?
