main navigation: Selected tab drop-down

Hi,

So I’m trying to figure out how to make the main tab with the drop-down list stay selected when the user browsers thru the dropdown list. For example, when someone selects ‘Software’ and hovers over the sub-items, I still want the left border to remain on ‘Software’.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I thought using the a.selected would work but haven’t been able to make it work out.
