main-nav link order

I am experiencing issues with ordering my nav elements, the menu orders itself in alphabetical order no matter what order I organize the menu items in. I am using a child theme that I have created, so perhaps the problem stems from something in my child theme, but maybe there is something I am missing about the Twenty Thirteen menu.
