Main Icons don’t go anywhere when clicked

  • Hello,

    I’ve added short code to the page, I see when I hover over the Icons it has options to share, but when I click the actual icons, nothing but reloading the site occurs.

    How do I set the icons when clicked to perform some sort of share option(like the hover does)

    Ok, so that click on the icons reloads the page is unusual. Usually it should just do nothing (but show the tooltip). Maybe there is a conflict of some sort with your theme.

    A tooltip is required as a) some icons like your Facebook icon have several options, so the user needs to have an option to choose and b) the actual share icon (rectangle) is coming directly from the social media site, so in order to show the design you picked (round icons) an extra tooltip is needed.

    Having said that, we found a way to make the icon share directly, and no tooltip is needed. We implemented it in this plugin https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium/. Please have a look.
