Unfortunately that doesnt seem to have resolved the issue.
    I am running Version 5.0.7

    My desitnation URL is
    mailto:[email protected]

The page opens and triggers outlook to open the new mail but the address is still
    someonehotmail.com

I tried deleting and re adding the redirect, but that still did not work.
    Thanks

    ramsdaro,
I am not sure it will work like that for a mailto link. The mailto is a protocol that tells the browser to open the link in an external program, so there really is not a way to swap out the destination of the link because it immediately triggers the new program to open.

You could use the plugin to redirect a URL to open an email program by adding the mailto in the destination URL field and the regular URL in the request (which I have to be honest, is what I thought you were trying to do initially).

If you have that email address in your pages or content, you could possibly use a ‘search and replace’ plugin to swap it out.

If it is hard-coded into your theme or something like that, you would need to edit the php files.

If you still need it to redirect that way, we could probably write you a jQuery script to change it out in the page itself so when they click it, the URL is already set to the new mailto URL.

Let me know what you need to do.

    Warmest regards,
    Don
