mailto link doesn't work

Hi,
I’m trying to create a mailto/email link in the Simple Message button URL but nothing seems to happen when I add-
mailto:[email protected]
or even with html-
A HREF=”mailto:[email protected]”>linkText /A>
(removed 2 <)Can you let me know what I’m doing wrong?
