    Hello,

I have a newsletter with a discount button which I would like my users to click and send an email to me. I have decided to use the ‘mailto:’ code in the link that I am assigning to this button image. When I send a preview the body of the message is distorted. But the code is correct because it comes up properly in the browsers and in code generators.

    This is the code:
    mailto:[email protected][email protected]&Subject=LIttle%20Palm%20Villa%205%25%20Discount&Body=Dear%20Reservation%2C%0A%20%0AI%20would%20like%20some%20information%20on%20Little%20Palm%20and%20be%20able%20to%20use%20the%205%25%20discount%20offered%20with%20this%20promotion.%20%0A%20%0AThis%20is%20not%20a%20booking%2C%20I%20am%20only%20requesting%20information.%20%20Please%20send%20it%20to%3A%0A%20%0AMy%20name%3A%0AMy%20email%3A%0AMy%20phone%3A%0A%20%0AThanks'

[Please post code & markup between backticks or use the code button. Your posted code may now have been permanently damaged by the forum’s parser.]

When I copy this into the ‘Link URL’ field, nothing comes up in the preview that I send to myself. Is it that Wysija does not accept this code? Help please!! How can I get it to work???!!!

This is the link to the newsletter, I would appreciate the help. Thanks!!!

  • Hello there,

Wysija accepts perfectly mailto links, make sure that you keep the parameters lower case and check that you don’t have any parameters in your message that stop it from working.

I shortened your and tried on my end and it worked just fine.
    mailto:[email protected][email protected]&subject=LIttle%20Palm%20Villa%20Discount&body=Dear%20Reservation%20would%20like%20some%20information%20on%20Little%20Palm%20and%20Thanks

    Ben,

What code would I use to allow a reader to forward my newsletter in mailpoet to a friend?

I currently have an image in the newsletter I would like to allow them to click on the image and forward a copy of the newsletter.

    Thanks in advance.

    Gregg

    Hello Gregg,
    Thank you for the question.

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to do that in the current version. We planned to do that; I can not give you an accurate ET right now.

    Thank you again!
    Tung – from MailPoet team.
