Do you have a similar forum for the Mailster program?

I don’t need individual support (and don’t want to pay for a new license to provide feedback via a support ticket), but rather, I wanted to share some feedback on issues that I have seen with the plugin that are resulting in logistical/deliverability issues.

I replied to an email from Xaver the other day but have not heard back.

An email address or if I can leave here would be good too. Thanks!

I’ll share below, please pass along to appropriate folks on the mailster team. My mailster username is “20SF” if anyone would like to have a back/forth dialog on improving the program. Thanks!

    1. Double Opt-In emails don’t allow for adequate Can-Spam tagging.
Because a single opt-in user isn’t recognized as a subscriber (no profile/unsub page), the {unsub} and {profile} links show up as blank in proper {can-spam} footers on confirmation emails. My experience is that all confirmation emails are ending up in spam folders,?likely because there aren’t proper {unsub} and {profile} links as I have seen in confirmation emails from other programs. These links should be made active for those who complete the first step in a double opt-in process (which would require a profile/unsub landing page for those who complete the first step of double opt-in, versus only those who have completed?both steps). Because they are not, I tried to go the single opt-in route, but…

    2. Confirmation email notifications are going out for single opt-in forms,?when they should not be.
I think this is a bug that needs fixing,?as all forms on my site do not have “double opt in” selected, but double opt-in confirmation emails are still going out. But it would also be helpful if you could choose double or single opt-in at the list level. Right now, I only see it at the form level. It is critical to add the option to the list, not the form, and have that override what is selected at the form level.

    3. Distinction Between Single/Double Opt-in Subscribed
Right now, both are listed as “Subscribed” in the status field, but a distinction between the 2 would be helpful. (e.g. “Single Subscribed” and “Double Subscribed”).

    4. Tracking Links are too long
Mail Genius is flagging the Mailster tracking links saying that “Some content spam filters will flag and penalize you for including large HTTP URLs. It is recommended that there are no links over 120 characters.”. All of Mailster’s tracking links are over 120 characters, which does not seem necessary. For example, they all have a string of 32 zero’s (00000000000000000000000000000000) in them, which is not unique and could be removed, right? My emails are not getting through and this is the ONLY negative mark I’ve seen in Mail Genius scoring, where I score 97 out of 100 (and 10/10 on mail-tester).`
