    Hi All

I first tried reinstalling the plugin, but got a message that the folder already existed. Then copied the contents of a local mailpoet archive with ftp to my server.
Then it reported that an update was available, I installed the update without problems. Then I had to activate the MailPoet plugin again.
Luckely all the data from MailPoet was still present.
But this is worst case scenario when it happens.
If the data would also have been destroid, I was faced up with restoring the site.
    Lesson learned the hard way!

    Hi Peter,

Glad to hear you got this backup and running. Based on your description it sounds like the update may have failed and this resulted in this issue.

In all cases, MailPoet data remains intact unless specifically deleted and we’d always recommend ensuring you take a minimum of a daily backup.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your response.
It was a bit shocking to see the update fail !
My guess is that the server encountered some problem.
Fortunately the data was still intact, so the problem could be solved quickly.
We have a daily backup running so in worst case scenario I could have restored it.
    But that was not necessary.
So we can continue using this excellent plugin
    Regards,
    Peter
