• Hello, I have followed the instructions for embedding the short code into an unsubscribe page for the link to mail poet unsubscribe: [mailpoet_page]

But this link is not visible, it is present, but it is not visible. I have researched forums discussing this and I have eliminated the issue of checking this via an email sent to us and it is still not visible. Is it possible we have a conflict with our block plugins?

I say this because when we add a hyperlink to text on any page, the text disappears and this is something we are trying to resolve too. Possibly the problem is one in the same?

Looking forward to some ideas from those more knowledgable than ourselves

    Hello there @dustintoland ,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issues you’ve encountered with embedding the unsubscribe shortcode [mailpoet_page] into your page, and the disappearing text when adding hyperlinks. These are unusual behaviors that we certainly want to help you resolve.

Based on what you’ve described, it’s possible there could be a conflict with your theme or one of the plugins you’re using, especially if similar problems arise in other areas of your site. To address this issue systematically, I recommend the following steps:

    1. Verify Your Page Editor

First, could you please confirm which page editor you’re using to embed the unsubscribe shortcode? If you’re not already using it, we suggest trying the Gutenberg editor, which is the default block editor in WordPress. Our unsubscribe page customization guide is optimized for use with Gutenberg, providing the smoothest experience for integrating MailPoet features into your pages.

You can follow our guide on customizing your unsubscribe page with the Gutenberg editor here:
    Customize Your Unsubscribe Page

This guide will walk you through creating new pages for your custom Confirmation or Success page, embedding the [mailpoet_page] shortcode, and setting up these pages within MailPoet settings.

    2. Perform a Plugin Conflict Test

If adjusting the page editor does not resolve the issue, the next step is to run a plugin conflict test. Such a test can help identify if another plugin is causing the shortcode to not display properly or interfering with hyperlink texts.

Here’s a detailed guide on how to test for plugin conflicts:
How to Test for Plugin Conflicts

This process involves deactivating all other plugins except MailPoet and then gradually reactivating them one by one. This method helps pinpoint the specific plugin causing the issue. Please ensure you perform this test on a staging site or backup your site before proceeding, to avoid any data loss or disruption to your live site.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers!
