    Hello,

          Does MailPoet support dynamic fields?

Example: I have a Business Directory Website. I have information like Business Listing Links(each business in my directory has its own URL), etc. that I’d like to include dynamically in my email campaigns. Currently, the business listing links are in custom post types in business listing records in my WordPress database. I can easily add the dynamic fields that I want to use to the WordPress USER profile record. Or, are the MailPoet Subscribers records customizable so that I can add additional fields that can be used as dynamic fields in email campaigns?

In any case, how can I use dynamic fields as I mentioned above in MailPoet email campaigns?

    Example:

    Hello User,

I’d like for you to review your Business Listing [Dynamic Content Link] …………………

    Thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there @wpallweb ????</img>!

Thank you for reaching out to MailPoet Support!

Or, are the MailPoet Subscribers records customizable so that I can add additional fields that can be used as dynamic fields in email campaigns?

Yes, you can create custom fields for your subscribers and then use those in your newsletters:

    I hope this helps!

    Cheers!

    MaiPoet,

Thank you for responding. The Custom Field(s) that I’m looking for is/are not entered by the user. They are internal URLs and information associated with the user’s account that get dynamically created. I have a handful of questions:

    1. a) Can I use the Form Fields to create custom fields but NOT display them during registration? b) Then, Can I populate/update the fields using an IMPORT? c) Can I then use [Shortcodes] in the campaigns?
    2. If #1 is not possible, a) can I add custom fields to the MailPoet Subscription records using (i.e., add_action or ????” in the functions.php (using a child theme)? b) Can I then use [Shortcodes] in the campaigns?

    Thank you.

    Hi again ????</img>

I’ll try to reply to your questions:

Can I use the Form Fields to create custom fields but NOT display them during registration?

Yes. You can also hide them from the Manage Subscription Page

Can I populate/update the fields using an IMPORT?

Yes, you can update your subscribers via CSV import.

Can I then use [Shortcodes] in the campaigns?

Yes, it doesn’t really matter how the Custom Fields have been populated.

If #1 is not possible, a) can I add custom fields to the MailPoet Subscription records using (i.e., add_action or ????” in the functions.php (using a child theme)?

This is not possible with the MailPoet plugin out of the box.

However, it might be possible with some custom code. If you need help with custom code, you can reach out to someone from Codeable: https://codeable.io.

You’re also welcome to add it as a suggestion here https://feedback.mailpoet.com

Our team will take it into account when discussing new features and improvements for the plugin ??</img>

Can I then use [Shortcodes] in the campaigns?

And yes again, it doesn’t really matter how the Custom Fields have been populated.

    I hope this helps!

    Cheers
