Mailpoet Subscribe form Not Working after update wordpress

    After updating to new 4.0 wordpress a number of my plugins stopped working…

    Done the usual deactivate plugins and theme back to twenty fourteen

    I have installed a new version of wordpress in a new directory. And it has the same problems.

    Here is the new directory https://paperkawaii.com/test/

    No other plugins are installed.

    After putting in email address and pressing subscribe nothing happens.

    In the console I get this:

    TypeError: ‘undefined’ is not a function (evaluating ‘t(this).validationEngine(“validate”)’)

    I noticed it worked once, then not again.

    My main website is https://paperkawaii.com/

    On my main website there are a tonne of errors in the error console. So its hard to tell what the issue is.

    I have a go daddy server. Is it them?

    Hope someone can help.

  • Hard to tell just by looking at the source code of those websites, but on https://paperkawaii.com/ you are loading jQuery manually and that’s not the best solution.

    On the https://paperkawaii.com/test/ there’s also a jQuery issue. Please switch to another WordPress default theme and see if it’ll work.

    Anyway this issue is related to your theme, MailPoet has been properly tested with WP 4.0 and it’s definitely not the cause of those issues.

    Thats right, wasn’t mail poet, turns out my site got hacked, and now has iframes injected into a lot of javascripts. Causing errors as well.
