I used Wysija for a long time and everything was well for a long time.
Then it did not work anymore : I glimpse a malfunction : My subscribers always existed but no list was now assigned to them. And impossible to correct it. Even creating a new subscriber, you can not assign a list.

So I uninstalled completely Mailpoet (with Mailpoet uninstall), then reinstalled it (v2.5.7). And now impossible to do anything. I have the following message:

The update procedure for the version “2.1.6” of MailPoet failed!
    An error has occurred.

    Table ‘wordpress.wp_wysija_user_list’ doesn’t exist (UPDATE wp_wysija_user_list as A inner join wp_wysija_user as B on (A.user_id= B.user_id) set A.sub_date= B.created_at where A.sub_date=0 and A.unsub_date=0 and B.status>-1;)

    Can anyone help me? Thanks

  • I hope you’ve installed v2.7.5 (latest).

I’m guessing you didn’t remove the database tables, and you had problems before (like this table disappeared), and the plugin is trying to bring them up to date and failing.

    I’d do this:

    1. Write down your lists
    2. Export your subscribers (from phpMyAdmin)
    3. Delete the MailPoet database tables
    4. The plugin should recreate its tables when you try to use it
    5. Recreate your lists
    6. Import your subscribers through the plugin. You will need to assign subscribers to lists manually, so split them by list, import and then assign all the unassigned subscribers to the respective list, then handle multiple assignments manually.
