We have a MailPoet integration on our main domain, https://hillcopartners.com/. We are currently redesigning the website and setting up a subdomain for this purpose: https://staging.hillcopartners.com/. We aim to migrate all MailPoet settings, lists, subscribers, newsletter designs, and other configurations to the new staging subdomain.

However, when attempting to use our current activation key on staging.hillcopartners.com, we encountered the error: “Your key is not valid.”

Since this subdomain is part of the main domain registered for MailPoet premium, we expect it to work on the staging subdomain to facilitate migration and necessary adjustments before deploying to the main domain.

Could you advise on how to resolve this issue?

    Hi there @devrathankumar ????!

Thank you for reaching out to MailPoet Support!

Since this subdomain is part of the main domain registered for MailPoet premium, we expect it to work on the staging subdomain to facilitate migration and necessary adjustments before deploying to the main domain.

Yes, I understand the issue. That said, the key can only be active on one site a time.

You can install MailPoet, set it up and even Migrate the MailPoet Database Tables without the key. If you want to have a key to make sure that everything is correct you could sign up for a free plan at https://account.mailpoet.com/ or deactivate the key on the main site temporarily.

Anyway, what you said is valuable and it would be great if you could add it as a suggestion here https://feedback.mailpoet.com so that other users can upvote and comment on it.

Our team will take it into account when discussing new features and improvements for the plugin ??

    Cheers!

Thanks for your response. I would like to confirm, if I export the database with *_mailpoet, everything will come to the staging site?
What about the lists, subscribers, configurations, sending settings, and other DNS settings?
Can you please guide me the step-by-step procedure to set everything up?

I tried contacting MailPoet support with the dedicated form (as we are a premium member), but we never got help.

    Hi again @devrathankumar ????,

I would like to confirm, if I export the database with?*_mailpoet, everything will come to the staging site?

Yes, that’s correct. However, if you need help with the migration you can contact your hosting support, as that it outside of our scope of support.

If you don’t feel comfortable with handling te SQL you can always use plugins like ?WP Migrate DB?or?All-in-One WP Migration for that.

I tried contacting MailPoet support with the dedicated form (as we are a premium member), but we never got help.

If you have a paid MailPoet account make sure to contact us from the email address associated with it and we’ll be glad to help: mailpoet.com/support

    Cheers
