Hey there, I built this form for my client recently to show on a couple of her website pages. I’ve tested it in Chrome and the form works well, gives the proper success message and adds the user to the email list in MailPoet.

However when users see the form in a Safari browser, the form shows, but when you enter your details you end up redirected to the home page. And their information is not logged in the subscribers list.

Anyone know how you can fix this? We’ve cleared cache etc and I’ve tested on several different computers.

    Thank you!
    Jess

    Hi there @jammann7,

I took a look at your site, and tried filling out the form in Safari. I saw what you described: after filling it out and submitting, I was redirected to the site homepage. However, taking a look at the URL, we can see it’s not just the homepage —?it’s actually the MailPoet endpoint router URL trying to redirect you to the Captcha page:
    https://amarahurst.com.au/?mailpoet_page=subscriptions&mailpoet_router&endpoint=subscription&action=captcha&data=eyJjYXB0Y2hhX3Nlc3Npb25faWQiOiIxM2l1d3kzenhsbmtrZ2s0a3NjOGc4OHdzczBnZ29zYyJ9

I double checked on my personal site with the latest version of MailPoet in Safari, but did not see the same issue. I was able to fill out a form, get redirected to the captcha page, and then submit it and get added to the subscriber list as expected.

I don’t see any error messages or issues in the browser console or network tab, so it’s hard to say what is going wrong on your site.

Just to check, if you temporarily disable the Captcha option in your settings under MailPoet > Settings > Advanced, then test a sign-up in Safari, do you still see the issue? (I’d recommending re-enabling captcha afterward to keep your form secure)

If you switch it to the Google reCaptcha option, do you still see the same issue?

Thank you so much! Yes that did work to temporarily disable it. I tried switching to the Google reCaptcha option. I added my API keys but then now the form gives me an error saying that I need to check the captcha. But no captcha actually appears on the form or anywhere for me to do it.

If you have any expertise on that, that would be awesome!

Thanks again for your help ??

    Hi there @jammann7,

Thanks for getting back to us!

I checked your site but can’t see the error you’re describing. Did you disable Google reCAPTCHA?

Do you use any page builder to add your MailPoet form to your site pages?

If so, can you please create a separate page and add your subscription form there as a block to see if the captcha works? This will help us narrow the issue.

Let me know how it goes!
