• Hi,

I have just installed MailPoet on a local development version of my website on Mamp Pro, on a Mac. I get this error message when going to any of the MailPoet menu options: An exception has been thrown during the rendering of a template (“URL site is onbereikbaar.”). The Dutch text means: URL site cannot be reached.

I have seen a previous post about MailPoet 3 and Mamo Ori and that one was marked as Resolved, without any explanation of why and how.

I’m running the latest version of WordPress and PHP 7.3.8.

    Cheers,
    Leon

  • Hi @iambeeblebrox have you tried to reinstall MailPoet on your local environment?

    I just tried:
    – De-activate
    – Uninstall
    – Install
    – Activate

Same error: An exception has been thrown during the rendering of a template (“URL site is onbereikbaar.”).

    Hi Leon,

Is it possible that the max_execution time in your php.ini setting is to low?
It could also be a problem caused by the template you are using.
You could try a different template

Errors are in the backend. How could that be related to a template?

And the max_execution time is set to 120 seconds, so that should be more than enough.

The backend is also a part of a template.
The template your site is using, is partly loaded when opening the backend.

The value of 120 should normally be enough, does the backend response quickly?
Also the memory within the environment could cause problems if it is to low.
Do you have other plugins installed?
If so you could disable them all, and then test what happens. If the problem is no longer present, then you could start with enabling them one by one

Ok. I will research it a bit more. Will also install on the live site, just to see what happens as I still think it may be related to running locally in MAMP Pro.

It will be a while before I report back as I will only have the time in about two weeks time.

I think to that it is related to the environment MAMP.
I have it running on several different websites with different themes and plugins without any problem.

I can confirm it works on the live site. Pitty I cannot use it in MAMP Pro.
