I am moving from another product to MailPoet (free Premium for the time being).

I have setup a test newsletter and sent to several users (which already received my newsletter from the other product and same sending email address). All MailPoet’s newsletter do not contain images, but only links to the images. That’s bad, as I am using the same “from” email address.

    How can I fix this?
    Thanks

    Hi @fmarzocca,

All MailPoet’s newsletter do not contain images, but only links to the images.

Sorry to hear that. Can you please confirm it happens on multiple email clients (i.e.: Outlook, Gmail.com, Hotmail.com)? Or does it happen only in a particular email client?

If you can’t see the images when checking the email on any email client, there are some known issues:

    – if you’re referring to background images, we’re aware they are not supported by some email clients. You can refer to this article: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/261-add-a-background-image-to-your-newsletter

    – this could be related to your server/CDN configuration or is a Google Image Proxy issue. If you’re using Cloudflare, would you mind disabling it and check if it works?

    – SVG images are also not supported by all email clients. If that’s the case, we recommend switching to a .JPG or .PNG image format.

    Hi, thanks for answering.
I have tested it in GMail, Thunderbird and ProtonMail. All of them do not display the images (not background, but featured images), but they show a request for the user to authorize image displaying from the recipient. But the recipient is the same I was using with tho old product, so it should already be authorized!

Not using Cloudflare. The server is on an hosting provider (Aruba Italy). No SVG images, just jpg.

I am using your sending method.

I definitely can’t use this plugin if I cannot show images to users…

For instance: I have set GMail to “Always display external images”, but those from MailPoet newsletter are not shown anyway.
In GMail settings I am reading: “Note: If Gmail thinks a sender or message is suspicious, you won’t see images automatically. Instead, you’ll be asked if you want to see the image.”

So, are MailPoet’s newsletter considered “suspicious”?

    Hi there @fmarzocca,

It may happen if these providers are classifying your emails as dangerous based on a lot of factors, such as the reaction of other users to similar emails sent from you, missing DKIM records, etc.

Please use the exact same newsletter for spam score testing: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/147-test-your-spam-score-with-mail-tester

Please do let us know if you need any clarification on the results! You can share a link here.

    Cheers!

It gives me 73%. The emails I am sending with MailerLite are all displaying images.
I think I quit with MP.
