    Hi there MailPoet

Last week you helped me starting the sending service again after it had stopped because a user (myself) had been bounced.

I could send a message, but today it had to send the regular newsletter at 8 o’clock. But it did not. It has to send evry monday morning at 8 o’clock.

So something is still wrong. Please assist.

    Here are some screenshots:

  • Hi!

I checked your logs and I could see the emails are delivered correctly. However, if the problem is related to the schedule (monday morning at 8 o’clock), then it can be related to the cron job and the task scheduler.

The task scheduler ensures that your emails are processed and dispatched on time. Running as a background process that accesses your website to schedule and process the sending of newsletters. Sending won’t work if the connection can’t be established for any reason.

Could you try to switch the cron settings in MailPoet -> Settings -> Advanced? If you’re using the “visitors of your site” method, the emails won’t be delivered at that specific hour if there’s no traffic in your site triggering that cron job. Here you can find more information:

    Have a nice day!

    Hi Dromero

    Thanks for your reply.

I tried to change the sending method, and I tried to change it till Wednesday at 13:00 – and so it will be interesting in 13 minutes.

I’ll let you know what happens.

    Best regards,
    Hanne

    Hi there

I am sorry to tell, that it still does not send anything. See link. It is obvious, that it has no sent mails.

You must check again, and if it does not end up working, I want my money back, because then it is to expensive. The idea is, that I really want MailPoet and I want to be able to send out my newsletters. But I will of course not pay for a plug-in, that does not work as expected.

I don’t see this URL using a paid MailPoet subscription. Can you please clarify what you mean here?

As for your scheduled sending issue, can you please try to set up the server-side cron with your hosting? https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/257-setting-the-server-side-cron-linux-cron

    Hi Elvira K

Don’t misunderstand me: I really want it to function. I felt so sure I bought the plug-in but I checked my bank account and can’t find something that indicates your name on PayPal. I am sorry. I must remember wrong.

Okay I try a cron job again – I have already tried it earlier.

When I do NOT want all the mails from the Cron job, is this code then correct:

    php /home/stegemue/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/mailpoet-cron.php /home/stegemue/public_html/ >/dev/null 2>&1

I have re-sceduled the job to run at 20:00 o’clock (means in six minuttes). Let us see what happens. According to this image: https://stegemueller.dk/temp/Cron-job-nothing-planned.jpg nothing is plannend. Whys is that?

A strange thing is, that it can send “Newsletters” (the first tab) – but my regular weekly newsletter containing links to five blog post are not sent.

My new settings are now these:

    Hi Elvira

Now I have waited an hour after the scheduled sending time, and no mails are sent.

First things first: Is this code correct:

    php /home/stegemue/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/mailpoet-cron.php /home/stegemue/public_html/ >/dev/null 2>&1

    Furthermore:

The mail that should have been sent looks like this: https://stegemueller.dk/?mailpoet_router&endpoint=view_in_browser&action=view&data=WzUsIjVmZDI2Y2FhNmQ5YSIsMCwwLDAsMV0

As you’ll see 4 out of 5 images are missing, but they exist correctly on the site itself: https://stegemueller.dk Why is that?

    Kind regards,

    Hi there

Here is a link to the log in SQL: https://stegemueller.dk/temp/mailpoet_log.sql

Does that help solving the issue?

I emptied the table last night, but less than 24 hours later there are 214 rows in the table.

    Is that natural?

    Kind regards,

This can be forgotten, as the problem does not exist anymore:

I don’t know the whole issue got status as resolved. It was only a small part, that was not an issue anymore.

But just forget the whole thing.

    I found another plug-in.
