• Hello!

First, thank you for creating MailPoet. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and the ease-of-use and design capabilities are super cool. I am looking forward to having it a part of my site.

My question today is regarding MailPoet’s scheduled tasks (cron).

Specifically, I am testing an Abandoned WooCommerce Cart email. At present, I have a test user that is not logged. They are browsing/shopping the site as a Guest User.

I am following the instructions provided by Elvira in this support topic. Specifically, “Guest users won’t receive [abandoned cart] email unless they are subscribed to one of your lists and have clicked on a link in one of your previous campaigns.”

My test guest user has gone through the process of signing up their email, confirming their email and clicking a “Buy now” link from an email campaign that I sent to them. On the WordPress admin side I can confirm that the test user has a status of “Subscribed”.

The current cookies present in test user’s browser (Firefox) are:

    • woocommerce_cart_hash
    • woocommerce_items_in_cart
    • wp_woocommerce_session_###########

And the session variables set are:

    • wc_cart_created
    • wc_cart_hash_###########
    • wc_fragments_############

It’s been about 3 hours and the email still has not come through. It was set using the “30 minutes after the last page has loaded” setting so I was hoping to have it arrive by now. I have checked the SPAM folder and the email is not there either. Also, the current status of the email in MailPoet’s Emails Admin settings page is “Sent to 0 customers”.

Now, I am monitoring Cron Jobs using the WP Crontrol plugin. I want to be able to troubleshoot if/why the abandoned cart email never gets sent. But, I don’t know which Cron Event to monitor.

Could you please tell me the name of the Cron Event that MailPoet fires through WP Cron to trigger the Abandoned Cart Email?

And, would you please tell me what information to fill out to get MailPoet’s scheduled events to fire more frequently? At the link I provided you can see what WP Crontrol is requesting to add a new cron event. I had attempted to set up the cron job using the Server Side instructions here but my server doesn’t provide access to crontab or cPanel. They recommended I use WP Control.

Thank you for your attention and help with this. I am very excited to get this feature up and running ??
