Mailerlite does not work

  • Hi there, the mailerlite implementation doesn’t work, or at least it is lacking essential features. When I use the official mailerlite plugin these issues don’t occur so I know for sure it is a kadence blocks issue. Bugs:

    1- The users that use the signup form are not added to the right subscriber group, they’re just added to the overall subscribers list.

    2- Double Opt-in doesn’t work. When using the signup form the users should, according to GDPR, get a confirmation email and so on. Nothing is triggered when using this plugin.

    I can imagine this is not how it’s supposed to work, right? were you guys aware and/or are you working on this? Thanks!

    Hey,

    Thanks for posting. We are aware of this update. Up until recently, mailerlites default api and the keys they generated for it were for a different system. That other version of their api still works and if you have a key generated before mailerlite broke everything then the whole setup still works with Kadence forms. They don’t however provide you with an option to choose which type of key you get so while older keys work on the new system new keys don’t fully work on the previous system. Why mailerlite did this is beyond me.

    So we are working on an API update to the form block to work with their new system. In the mean time you can ask mailerlite to allow you to generate a key that works with the previous api (my account still generates keys for that api)

    This has been updated already. The latest version of Kadence Blocks supports the new and old version of mailerlite
