    Hey,
When I am trying set up the plugin with Mailerlite. When I test it I enter my name and Email address and it takes me to a second sign-up form (the mailerlite form) where I am required to add my information again. This is highly annoying for anyone trying to sign up through a widget. I already contacted Mailerlite and they were unable to help, but said to contact you.

    I’d really appreciate the help!

  • Did you get this resolved? I’m having same problem. I got it to not go to the mailerlite form by unchecking the redirect back to my website box. now when people subscribe they just get the success confirmation page. But, it isn’t adding people to my list.

Yes, I actually found a way around it. You can use a text widget instead of the enews widget and simply copy and paste the HTML code for the sign up form into the text widget. Or download Mailerlite’s plugin and copy the shortcode into a text widget. The Genesis Enews plugin isn’t compatible with Mailerlite (according to Mailerlite).
By using the complete HTML code for a sign-up for in a text widget you can then go and alter things like the font of the signup form individually.

Thanks for responding. I played around a bit and was able to get it to work. I had to turn off re-captcha and double opt-in. Hopefully, I won’t get a lot of spam subscribes so we will see if this works. I may have to find another alternative if too much spam.

My theme was specifically designed around the Genesis widget and when I tried the WordPress widget or even a text widget it threw my design off. I’ve got my Genesis widget in footer for now (www.wellreadsoutherner.com). I’d like to have it more prominent and will work on that for future.

I love your site by the way. I’m an ocean-loving girl too and I never get enough of it.
