The error message keeps appearing randomly:

    Mailer: SendGrid
You have exceeded your messaging limits

When a test email is implemented, the email goes out and the error goes away.

I am no where near the limit with SendGrid… i.e. 100 out of 40,000 sent so far.

    Why does this keep reappearing?

  • Hi @maryjostaebler,

Thanks for reaching out. Your site might be sending some emails in bulk without your awareness or you’ve reached the number of requests per certain period. That error message looks like it is generating directly from Sendgrid API. You might need to contact Sendgrid and ask about the status of your account and the rate limit.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Sanjeev.

I have reached out to SendGrid before posting here. They said we were well under our sending limitings (~100 out of 40,000). No emails were bulk sent. SendGrid has activity logs to show what was sent out through their Email API.

    Hi @maryjostaebler,

Thanks for the details! Could you please let me know if any of your emails have attachments that could reach its limits? In case it helps, here are some of the other limitations that could be happening to you. That error is generated by Sendgrid and unfortunately, it seems we don’t have any control over it.

    I hope this helps!

Hi @maryjostaebler – We haven’t heard from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and mark this ticket resolved. If you still have questions, though, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
