    Hi,

I will have Mailchimp subscription option on the website.

The aim would be to add some specific user role to the website users, which subscribe to the Mailchimp.

The reason is, that the website provide pionts and rewarsd system, but only for the Mailchimp newsletter subscribers.

Is it any way to setup it with your plugin?

    Thank you very much!

    Hey @webreneszansz ??

Yes! You can do that using a webhook: https://wpfusion.com/documentation/webhooks/mailchimp-webhooks/

When the webhook is triggered, a new user will be imported to WordPress from their Mailchimp subscriber profile.

Note that webhooks (and two-way synchronization) requires the full version of WP Fusion, they aren’t available in WP Fusion Lite. You can see our pricing at https://wpfusion.com/pricing/

For that you’d just need our Personal license ??

    Cheers
    Jack

    Hi,

Thank you very much for the quick answer, I really appreciate it.
I checked the article, but I am not sure, that these solutions will solve my problem.
I need to add some specific user role to the website user (which users bought something in Woocommerce webshop AND also subscribed into the Mailchimp list).

    Thank you very much!

Ah, I see, thanks for clarifying.

In that case, what I would do is create a webhook triggered by the “Subscribes” trigger: https://i.wpfusion.com/E7dMND

That webhook has &role=custom-role in the URL.

That means the when the subscriber confirms their subscription to your audience, Mailchimp will send a webhook. When WP Fusion receives the webhook, it will change the role of the user.

We actually don’t recommend using roles, because they can be hard to work with. In many cases tags are sufficient (for example for memberships https://wpfusion.com/documentation/getting-started/access-control/).

But if you need to do it with roles, that’s the way to go ??

    Hi,

    Thank you very much!

We prefer the user roles, because the points and rewards system (plugin) of the website will based on user roles, but thank you very much for the information.
