Hi, I’ve been using the plugin for some time with no problem, but since yesterday it stopped working and Mailchimp says: API Request Error – CURL error :: Connection timed out after 30001 milliseconds on 2193 in /web/htdocs/www.artistcoaching.it/home/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/includes/api/class-mailchimp-api.php
I haven’t done any work on the website recently, and I really don’t know what to do to fix it.
    Could someone help me?
    Thanks,
    Stefania

@ryanhungate thank you very much . I don’t know what it means because I am not an expert in this sector… what exactly should i do???

    Hi @ryanhungate,

    > We will close this for now since you’ve resolve it temporarily ??

Sorry, but using an older version is a bad hack, but no solution. Why do you want to resolve this error thread?

I’m suffering the same problem, system is running long for miles without changes.

Error : Mailchimp for Woocommerce has not added the webhook to Mailchimp

    and

Mailchimp says: API Request Error - API is failing - try again. on 2203 in /is/htdocs/wp12700043_6ZW48X39ZF/www/xxxxxxxxxxxx.xx/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/includes/api/class-mailchimp-api.php

I can’t access the settings page.

    WP 6.0
    Mailchimp for WooCommerce 2.7

Rolling back to 2.6.2 is working for my system.

Means in version 2.7 is an error. Please compare the changes, there is a mal function in the code which results in this error.

Also please consider having the settings page running, if such an error occurs.

Thanks for any efford and any further tipp in this. I will do my very best to help if any information is needed.

    THANKS!

@kraemit this should be a simple fix for you using 2.7 if you were to add a line to your wp-config.php file following this wiki article.

Please use the bottom item which has “false” in it. If you’re still having trouble – please open a new support ticket so we don’t crowd other folks tickets.

    Hi @ryanhungate,

I did no expect this (sorry for my ignorance), but honestly adding :

    define( ‘MAILCHIMP_USE_OUTBOUND_IP’, false );

to the last line of my wp-config.php and reinstalling 2.7 first showed the same error, but than I was able to open the settings page and error messages disappears.

Thanks for the tip! Means this will happen to fix in the next version having a condition check?

    What about @stefaniaartistcoaching ?

    Thanks again!
    Best regards

    Hi @kraemit
thanks for asking me. Now I’m on vacation without computer, But as soon as I get home I try to follow the advice. I hope to solve the problem.
    Thank you very much ????

@kraemit correct – we will continue looking out for what the cause of this is. This has affected a small percentage of stores that must be using specific operating systems, php binaries, curl versions etc.

This configuration above will ensure that your server will use the “default outbound ip address”. We will also try to add in better validation on this specific outbound ip address enhancement in a future release.

    Hi @ryanhungate and @kraemit,
a friend of mine managed to add the line to my wp-config.php file and now the latest version of the plugin works.
    Thanks everyone for the support!
