    Hello

We encountered a problem with version 2.1.12 of the plugin.
When we insert API key, after a longer time loading we get an error message:
Mailchimp says: API Request Error – cURL error 28: Operation timed out

This doesn’t happen when we install version 2.1.9 (which we could confirmed worked on another shop of ours).

    Our setup:
    PHP 7.2.14
    WordPress 4.9.9
    WooCommerce 3.5.1

Thank you for help in advance.

    Best regards
    Rasti

I have the same issue, fresh install, hosted using dreampress on dreamhost.com

We also have same problem with version 2.1.13, downgraded to 2.1.11 (or 2.1.10 but it’s in package 2.1.11) and it works fine.

We also have same problem with version 2.1.14, downgraded to 2.1.11 and it works fine. Running PHP 7.2 WordPress 5.1. Spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was wrong with curl on the server side and/or security (CloudFlare, WordFence) but it was just the plugin. Thank you for tip on downgrading!

@extima just out of curiosity did things start working after you upgraded to WordPress 5.1? And also, did you try 2.1.14 with 5.1?

@bagendahl, a question for you as well. When you say it works, are orders and customers syncing after install?

with 2.1.14 and WordPress 5.1, when entering the API key we were getting the curl error. It was a new build and so we did not try previous versions of WP with 2.1.14.
Rolling back to 2.1.11 and staying on WP 5.1 worked.
We did not test 2.1.12 or 2.1.13 – we went all the way back to 2.1.11 because it sounded like that is what people had success with.
Our store was able to sync properly after that – orders/products are up to date.

    Same problem.
    First install

I’ve just had the same issue, gone through all the same checks, and eventually gone back to version 2.1.11.

I experienced the same issue across 5 different ecom websites (on different hosts) with v 2.1.14 of the plugin (all on WordPress 4.9.8). I rolled back to v 2.1.11 and they all work fine now.

Please follow the GitHub tracker below for status on this issue, which we plan on addressing in the 2.1.15 release: https://github.com/mailchimp/mc-woocommerce/issues/347.

We will be updating GitHub once the rollout is completed.

Same issue. No fix? It used to work just fine… then Kaboom!

Mine was working fine, then I switched stores from beta to permanent address. So I decided to reconnect the store and got the first error as everyone reported here. Then downgraded to 2.1.11 now I get this new error msg:

Mailchimp says: API Request Error – 500 :: CURL error :: Illegal port number on 1453 in /var/lib/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/includes/api/class-mailchimp-api.php

    Any clues?

Having issues too. Same CURL error. When will this be solved?

    hi there!
I am reporting the same error.

Rather than ask you “when will this be resolved” cause that’s kinda…a ridiculous question…who know how long it takes to fix any problem…lol

I will instead describe a thousand cheerleaders with beautiful colored ribbons all chanting your name and telling you that YOU CAN FIX IT! ??

    good luck!

@schizmit why is it a ridiculous question..? Might be that their devs are busy with other stuff and need to schedule some time to fix this. It’s probably an easy fix for them. I need to know when this will be resolved since my clients are waiting on the MailChimp implementation on their sites.

Please go somewhere else with your cheerleader club.

Updated to the latest version, and it still doesn’t work.
