Hi, Today I discovered that (using the plugin: Woochimp) Mailchimp registers a user with the Email address of the admin that is switched to a user. I know this may be out of scope for support but I still have some questions.

When switching to a user, all data is used as if that user was logged in right? Like for instance, something along the lines of “user>billing_email_address” should return the email of the user that has been switched to, right? Because Right now it seems that somehow this return the admin email.

It could very well be that this is not the fault of your plugin, but I have yet to figure out what’s going on.

Hopefully you can give me some valuable information on this topic.

I’m not familiar with the MailChimp plugin you’re using, but it could be that when you log in as the original administrator it sets a cookie or stores information about that user somewhere else, and when you switch user that information doesn’t get updated.

Your best bet would be to get in touch with the author of that plugin and ask them to take a look.

When you switch user with the User Switching plugin it actually logs you in as that user (ie. it doesn’t spoof it).

Do let me know what you find out.

Hi John, I just discovered an update for the Woochimp plugin and that seems to have solved it. Perhaps the cookie was used. We’ll never know.

Thanks for your input and time!
