MailChimp Question… again

Hi TravelBlackToLove,

here’s how to do it:

1. Login to your MailChimp account
2. Click on Lists in the navigation menu
3. Click on your list name
4. Click on Signup forms
5. Click on General forms
6. Under Forms and response emails, select Signup “thank you” page
7. Enter your thank you page URL under Instead of showing this thank you page, send subscribers to another URL
8. Click Save

If you are looking to send users to a custom thank you page, you would need to perform the steps above. Unless I misunderstood your question.

The instructions you provided will affect the thank you page that is displayed after the MailChimp double-opt in email confirmation process. I believe she was asking how to skip the email confirmation process and just display a thank you page.

@bananayourchimp thanks for clearing that up ?? MailChimp defaults to double opt-in method. The only way to bypass that would be to use an API connection. However, Optin Forms does not use API for connection to their database, but a manual connection instead.

In other words, it can’t be done with this plugin.
