  • Hey simongondeck,

Thanks for swinging by the support forum. I’ll be happy to help out with troubleshooting this form, but first we’ll need a bit more information. If you can reply back with a link to the form in question, as well as what is specifically happening when trying to use the plugin, we’ll be happy to dig into this further.

Thanks again for posting and we look forward to hearing back!

    Sorry for that response.

    Meant this.

    Snapsouthdakota.com

The mailchimp plugin in the footer of the home page, about page, and design page.

Gunter or anyone on the forum,

Did you have a chance to check out snapsouthdakota.com in the footer?

On some pages the footer has MailChimp working and on others it doesn’t.

    Any ideas?

The site is using WordPress 4.0.

    Hi there Simon,

Just wanted to update you. I was doing some troubleshooting yesterday with the form in the footer but thus far haven’t been able to get to the bottom of what’s going on there.

Could you tell me if the two JavaScript items (Use Javascript Support? and Use Javascript DatePicker?) under “List Options” on the plugin settings page are checked or unchecked? I suspect that there’s some element of the plugin scripts and/or CSS which is conflicting with other elements on the site causing some weird behavior, so I’m working on pin-pointing that.

Thanks for hanging in there with us while we investigate!

    Kath,

    Thank you for your response.

Here is what the settings page looks like:

The MailChimp account name is Snap Agency.

    Hi there Simon,

Thanks for taking those screenshots for me.

Would you be able to uncheck to disable the two JavaScript list settings so we can continue to narrow down the scope of the issue?

My current suspicion is that one or both of those settings may be running into some other JavaScript on your site causing the form to display differently than expected.

Let me know when both of those are disabled so I can do some further investigating.

    Thanks!

    Kath,

I just disabled the two JavaScript list settings.

Let me know if this helps anything!

    Thanks,

    Simon

    Kath,

    Any update?

    Best regards,

    Simon

    Hi Simon,

With the Javascript disabled for the form I am able to see and submit the form on all pages of the site in both Chrome and Firefox, however I’m getting the “Cheatin’ huh?” error page. I’m going to need to continue to look into different scenarios which cause this error page, however one thing I would suggest doing is uninstalling, completely removing all plugin files, and reinstalling the plugin in WordPress. Doing a complete reset this way may resolve the current issue, but regardless I’m going to continue to work on getting to the bottom of this for you.

    Thanks for your patience, Simon!

    -Kath
