Mailchimp plugin is showing groups, but not passing the information collected

  • Hi,
    We have the WordPress plugin for mailchimp installed, and our mailing list has two groups.
    The signup with the groups works fine from the Mailchimp hosted form, but when we try to sign up from the wordpress plugin (most recent version) we the group selections are not passed through to Mailchimp.

    Chatted with support today, and we’ve tried uninstall/reinstall of plugin, as well as creating a new mailing list with groups, to no avail.

  • Hey there!

    Currently, checkboxes will not pass over subscriber information without a little extra work. WP user Ruud@joyo came up with a way to alter the actual code for the plugin to pass this information correctly:

    If digging into the PHP isn’t your thing, the other option is to switch the groups to “radio buttons” or a “dropdown.” Both of those will pass information back to the list as expected.

    This is another issue we’re hoping to get squared away with the newest release. The other workaround is to use the embedded form from your MailChimp account to get everything to all groups to load. You can then style that embedded for via CSS.
