Looking at the many topics opened over the last weeks we do not seem the only ones with this issue. Mailchimp is not syncing with our WordPress/Woocommerce installation. Last week we upgraded our account (we installed the plugin in 2021) but upon trying to create a newsletter we noticed that the products we added to our shop over the last 2 months did not pop up in the product block.

I have contacted support but was cut off after a couple of minutes as Penny was referring to a code/instruction on a page but no code or instruction was listed on it. She simply ignored my reply and closed the topic. Unbelievable!

Over the last week we followed the steps outlined by your Mailchimp assistant: deleted the plugin, deactivated the cache, reinstalled the plugin and reconnected. And every time the page in our WP CMS says “sync stuck” after 24 hours. So we are getting nowhere and support is not helpful. We have paid for a plan but are not able to use Mailchimp.

Any suggestions how to fix this? Or better to just cancel the plan and use a different plugin?

Hi @szch, sorry you’re having trouble, we’ll be glad to help. No two WordPress installs are the same and various factors can contribute to a sync failing. Basic troubleshooting starts with verifying the following information about the plugin and WordPress environment.

    • What are the versions of PHP and the plugin? Are they up to date?
    • Are there a large number of plugins being used? If so, it may be necessary to increase the memory limit on the hosting server (1GB for example) to accommodate the initial sync.
    • You may need to activate WP CRON or consider using the CLI option.
    • The server is using a cache such as Redis, Memcached, etc. You may need to exclude a route path for the plugin.
    • If you are using a shared hosting environment, consider switching over to a server stack with a dedicated IP address.
    • Your server may be getting?blocked by Akamai, Mailchimp’s API service.

Lastly, if you’re unable to sync checking those specifics please enable Remote Diagnostics from the plugin’s settings page, furnish your URL and we’ll be glad to see if there’s something we can spot.
