    i see no double opt in option in Settings Email API

    I have tried creating a new API key

    However subscribers do not sync to Mailchimp

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, this feature is not available in the free version.
    We verified that the data syncing to Mailchimp was functioning properly on our end.
    Please try with a completely new subscribed email.

    i tried subscribing with another email as you suggested but still it does not sync the subscribers with Mailchimp

    How often does the sync run?

    I can provide you with credentials for the site to test it if you wish
