Mailchimp/mailoptin emails not being sent

    I have an issue with Mailchimp/Mailoptin. The emails are not sending to mailchimp subscribers. The mailchimp API key is entered and the emails show in Logs, but trying to resend causes a Fatal error. My host found this error in the error logs:

    [21-Apr-2020 23:47:47 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘MailOptin\\Connect’ not found in /srv/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/mailoptin/src/core/src/Connections/ConnectionFactory.php:19

    I am not very versed in this but need assistance if you can provide it!

    Sorry – the emails I’m trying to send are the automated email notification when a new blog post is posted.

    Sending to Mailchimp subscribers is a paid feature. If you are using the free version, it won’t work.

    Hi Collin – Thanks for getting back to me. I do have the paid version allowing for 500 contacts and 5000 email sends. I’m guessing that’s the right version? Any other ideas or suggestions of how I can make this work? Thank you!

    I am talking about MailOptin paid version.

    You need the Pro plan or higher to access that feature.

    Oh! I got it. I’m sorry. It looks like the Pro plan is $150 for the year. Is there a cheaper or free option to just have email go out when a blog post is posted, where you can customize the email similar to the feature on Mailchimp?
