mailchimp integration dead in the water?

The Mailchimp integration eventually worked without me doing anything. It seems I just have to wait a few hours before seeing new subscribers in Mailchimp. The whole thing triggers two questions:

• Is this lag time on Mailchimp’s of PMPro’s side? Can it be reduced?
• Most importantly: How to integrate a Mailchimp first name field in PMPro?

Ok. Please ignore the first question.

And the second one too. I just discovered that I would need to use an add-on at the Plus level to add first and last name at checkout (which would then be transferred to Mailchimp). Thanks.
