Mailchimp for WordPress not linking with WordPress registration page

    I am finding Mailchimp for WordPress very confusing. I thought that by using it, registration data collected on the WordPress registration page would end up in my Mailchimp list. It doesn’t, and I don’t see how to fix this. I would also expect the data collected from the Mailchimp for WordPress form to end up in my wordpress user list–so that people signing up that way will be able to leave comments without signing up a second time. I have installed the Mailchimp User Sync plugin for this purpose. This isn’t happening either. I wonder–what am I not understanding about the interaction among these plugins?

    I am also confused that the forms I created directly in Mailchimp (without the additional plugin) are loading into my site, seeming to obviate the need for the plugin. So why do I need Mailchimp for WordPress? Everyone seems to think this plugin is really easy to use but I don’t seem to be getting anywhere with it. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

  • I have the same issue. I have also configured the webhook in Mailchimp but no luck. My WP list and my Mailchimp list are still separate. If I understood it properly; this plugin would add new mailchimp subscribers to my wp user list, and new vice versa?

    Hi,

    @kms8888
    Our plugin does nothing with the form you made in MailChimp.com, and those forms won’t work trough our plugin. Are you sure you are using “MailChimp for WordPress” plugin?

    Please let us know if you see any error on the “Other” page of our plugins settings.

    What happens when you manually click “Sync” for user-sync?

    Since both your questions don’t include any details about specific errors or where you are stuck in setup, here is a link to our manual:
