MailChimp for WordPress – API Server returns: 0

  • Running WordPress 4.4.1
    MySQL 5.5.38
    PHP 5.4

    Installed MailChimp for WordPress – installation was AOK.

    Added API from our MailChimp account and saved AOK however then generated error on save: The MailChimp API server returned the following response: 0

    In other words “NOT CONNECTED”

    The link to “Read more about common connectivity issues” not helpful.

    Error of “0” cannot be found elsewhere either.

    Greatly appreciate anyone help who knows how best to manage this “ghost” of an issue and thank you in advance ??
