Mailchimp for Woocommerce: invalid email address for valid addresses

    I am using Woocommerce and the Mailchimp for woocommerce plugin on my site. Recently, my site stopped sending email notifications for purchases and other order updates to the customers emial. It will send purchase confimation emails to the store owner and admin, but not the customer. I have also been able to send test emails to addresses using a email test plugin, that are not receiving email, when making a test purchase in the store.

    Looking at my Mailchimp for woocommerce plugin logs, I am seeing this error pop up when submittting and order, leading me to believe valid email addresses are being flagged as invalid:

    “2024-04-10T01:47:34+00:00 NOTICE validation.bad_email :: Order #2122 has an invalid email address. Skipping!.”

    I have removed most plugins to check for other conflicts with no luck.

    Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    This seems related to SMTP settings and your mail sender ID. Sometimes, it occurs when the sender’s email ID does not match the current website domain. I suggest contacting your hosting provider or posting in the Mailchimp for WooCommerce support forum further assassinate.

    Additionally, you may consider installing a plugin such as WP Mail Logging. This will allow you to access all outgoing email logs from your site. If you observe that mail is being sent, it’s worth inspecting your SMTP settings.
