    WordPress v6.0.1
    WooCommerce v6.6.1
    Mailchimp for WooCommerce v2.7.1

We’re having the issue with “Mailchimp for WooCommerce has not added the webhook to MailChimp” error.

I’ve tried removing and reinstalling the plugin, resynced etc. but it hasn’t resolved the issue. I’ve enabled remote support if needed.

We use MalCare but I’ve tried disabling that and the issue persists.

    Thanks

@fsgroupit We have had a few reports of this – and so far the only thing we’ve been able to change for a successful integration had to do with a security measure on the server that was blocking the Mailchimp webhook User-Agent header. We’re not sure if this is your problem as well, but can you double check whether or not your security is blocking anything with the words MailChimp or Mailchimp etc?

The exact header that we send on this request is MailChimp.com WebHook Validator

Just wanted to start there since someone else notified their host and got this resolved by not blocking this user agent.

@ryanhungate thanks for the reply, I’m 99% sure we’re not blocking any specific user agent headers. We host the sites on our own servers.

I’ve checked the logs and can’t see anything being blocked…

@fsgroupit yeah we see that you have the remote support enabled – and we can see the basics – but the webhook isn’t able to stick which means something is being blocked on your server. If you could add ryan (at) vextras.com as an admin and allow plugin editing, I can troubleshoot this like I did with someone else. We were able to get this to work after debugging a few things.

Also it could possibly be something with your security plugin? Do you have any logs or anything showing some blocked activity there?

    Hi Ryan,

You should have an invite on its way to you now.

The only security plugin we use is MalCare, feel free to (temporarily!) disable it for testing. I’ve already tried with it off but no dice I’m afraid.

    Cheers

@fsgroupit I deactivated the plugin – and then it just went away :/ strange… can you put that back up again? I didn’t delete it – it’s just gone now. I am working with their support team though and they seem very responsive.

Ah that’s the MalCare plugins party trick, it’s called “WordPress Backup & Security Plugin – BlogVault” when it’s disabled but MalCare when it’s enabled!

Caused a bit of head scratching in the past. I’ve reenabled it now.

Do you think it is the cause? I disabled it before and it didn’t seem to make any difference.

The support team said: alternatively, can you ask the user to disable our firewall from the security section of the user’s MalCare dashboard and check if the problem persists?

We’re getting denied with a 400 error response while trying to ping the site for validation to the REST API endpoint the plugin creates

I’ve disabled the firewall through the dashboard now.

@fsgroupit turns out we have a problem with your SSL handshake… and without saying too much over support here I would just say the solution is going to be to update your php curl and openssl packages on your machine and this problem should go away ??

Hopefully that’s not too much of a problem but I would really like to try this first.

Ok, give me a moment and I’ll run an update…

Hmm, I’ve run an update but only got a nginx package that needed updating. I’ve installed that.

Can we continue this via email?

You gave me an idea with your SSL theory

I’ve enabled TLS v1.2 on nginx (we only had v1.3), perhaps that may solve the issue?

@fsgroupit good news… that worked! Thanks so much for doing that.
