MailChimp Email Integration Not Adding New Subscriber

Good Day, I have created a list in the mailchimp and follow the instructions given in here https://www.foxy-shop.com/2011/08/easy-mailchimp-integration/
I added the codes, api, list unique id, and uploaded the php file under my child theme directory. Then I added the code at the bottom of the checkout template ( I add in custom template) then I tried a test purchase with the Newsletter being checked on checkout( store currently on test mode)
Process has been successful but there is no new subscriber being added to my list. Here is what my checkout page look like
