    Hi

I installed Mailchimp and had it connected, but wherever I place the widget it breaks my theme’s layout. For example, when I place it in the 1st footer area to the far left, the second and third footers go below mailchimp widget (screenshot 1). When I place it at the top of the sidebar it makes all sidebar widgets go full width (screenshot screenshot 2). When I place at the bottom of the sidebar widgets, it takes the content area all the way down below sidebar(screenshot 3). Anyone faced this with mailchimp widget before? What’s causing this? And how would you correct it?

I asked my theme’s developer and they answered: “If its breaking the layout its likely to be a missing or extra HTML div tag.”

When I headed to mailchimp website to contact support, it say that support is not provided to free accounts.

Can anyone advice on that please. Any help is appreciated.

  • Hi there benjaffer,

Thanks for posting and sharing those screenshots – I’ve never seen anything quite like that behavior with this plugin, but the easiest way to insert a no-conflict signup form will be using the “Naked” MailChimp embed form:

    – Add a Signup Form to Your Website: https://eepurl.com/gOGN

The “Naked” embed form will take on the CSS of your site, rather than pull in any outside styles or sizing, which should help mitigate any conflict issues.

Without being able to see the plugin in action on your site, it’s a little hard to troubleshoot, but using the embed form code pasted into a simple Text widget block should be a much easier option and ultimately achieves the same end goal.

Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns about the plugin and I’ll do my best to assist!
