MailChimp API error: 400 Bad Request. Forgotten Email Not Subscribed

    Hello, there is a topic whit the same title that was closed.
    I see that an email is banned from Mailchimp when unsubscribed/subscribed a couple of times.
    But why not to provide a smarter error message for the user explaining WHY he cannot subscribe again, instead of pop up the generic one? Otherwise he will continue to try and think there is an error on the website.

    I can make a feature request for this… it’s not super easy though because generally we should not pass on the Mailchimp errors to the website visitors as those could potentially leak some data.
