Mail(2) not working on mobile devices

CF7 latest version installed, and having no issues from desktop browsers. Could anyone explain why an autoresponder email is not being sent out as appropriate when the form is filled in on a mobile?

The form IS submitted from mobile, it’s just the autoresponder (Mail(2)) which is failing. Could this be a limitation of mobile browsers? I assumed Mail2 was being handled server-side…
