Mail Poet/Wysija causes crunching error

    When uploading large files with Wysija enabled, I get a crunching error. I can upload 1200×1600 pixel files that my readers love with Wysija disabled. With Wysija enabled, the files must be around 700×900 pixels.

    So, currently, I have to disable Wysija, upload files, then re-enable Wysija. I do this every time I upload media to my site.

    Thanks for reporting this.

    We did a few tests but we are unable to replicate this issue.

    I suspect it’s not directly related to MailPoet, but it could be related to a low memory limit set on your server, that could block the crunching, since we do have our own defined image size.

    I am having the same problem. I have been deactivating MailPoet for about a month every time I write a blog post so I can upload images to my post.

    Otherwise I will get a upload error. Sometimes it actually uploads the image but no thumbnail. And other times it wont upload at all.

    It’s very frustrating. I love the plugin. But it’s very inconvenient to have to go into maintenance mode deactivate Mailpoet, (So the javascript from my custom MailPoet email letter isn’t disabled making my front page look broken) just to write a post.

    I am using 1and1 as a host. It seems to be a memory limit problem. Sorry, but right now I’m not signing up on individual plugin sites, since there are so many and WordPress offers these forums that benefit all community users.

    I get the same error. Wysija is effectively zooming in to one part of the image, then stretching that zoomed-in view to the whole size of the image
