Mail now goes to Spam Folder after installation

After installing Contact Form 7, all my inquiries arriving via my Contact page started going to my Spam Folder. Then, after trying multiple setting changes and other plugins, I stopped receiving emails altogether. This has been very complicated, time-consuming and frustrating. I′m almost giving up.
